Who I am
About Me
I'm a software engineer at heart, but also a connector of people, processes and ideas. Over the course of 17+ years I've grown from building websites for local businesses into leading frontend teams on enterprise-scale platforms used by hundreds of thousands of people. What keeps me going is the challenge of turning complex requirements into elegant, maintainable solutions — and making sure the people around me grow in the process.
My technical home is Angular — I've worked with it since the AngularJS days and have followed every major iteration up to Angular 19. I pair that with TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx and a deep respect for testing. On the backend side, PHP/Symfony gave me solid foundations early in my career, and Python has come in handy for automation. I care about code quality not as a box to tick, but as a shared responsibility — I've introduced CI/CD pipelines, code review culture, design pattern standards and backlog hygiene on teams I've led.
Beyond the code, I've worked across healthcare, fintech, logistics, navigation and e-commerce — often picking up domain knowledge fast enough to challenge requirements before writing a single line. I've collaborated with product owners, UX designers, QA engineers and C-level stakeholders, adapting my communication style to whoever is in the room. My freelance work, running in parallel since 2009, keeps me sharp and client-focused in ways that employment alone cannot.
I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science from Lublin University of Technology (2015) and speak fluent English at C1/C2 level. I'm based in Lublin, Poland, and work fully remotely.

Front-end of a medical platform for gathering and processing vast amounts of data with fast, flexible search. Completely refactored — 60% less code, 2× faster page load.
Used REST API to handle data and compose views. Worked with TypeScript, Angular 7 and NPM modules. Backend: Java and MarkLogic. Key achievement: full refactor and redesign of an existing solution.

Simplified Medical Data Platform for Business Analysts

Lighter companion to the medical data platform, built from scratch with Angular 7. Provided reduced, user-friendly data views for Business Analysts, sharing the same Java/MarkLogic backend.
Introduced new features: managing favourite resources, user tutorials and requesting access. Built entirely independently as a new project alongside the main platform.

Medical Documents Management System

Frontend in TypeScript, Angular 8 and NgRx (Redux) for a medical documents management system — a boilerplate generator for commonly used documents with data extraction and template reimplementation.
Made REST API calls, created various components and handled general application styling. After the PoC phase, the team decided to drop the Redux approach as it was not suitable for this particular application.

Took over as Team and Tech Leader for a test automation project at one of the world's leading navigation map suppliers.
Used JavaScript (ES6), Node.js and Mocha. Scrum with 2-week sprints, 5 per release, planned in Confluence. Responsibilities: training new members, developing the framework, code analysis and refactoring, designing solutions, creating test scenarios, interviewing candidates, and managing BitBucket and Jenkins for CI.

Custom CMS for Bicycle Paths Catalogue

Authorial CMS for a bicycle paths catalogue: user management, news service, and routes/POIs management using a customised Google Maps API, allowing non-technical admins to add routes by drawing on the map.
Written in PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Uses jQuery and PHPMailer libraries. The Google Maps integration was custom-built to provide an intuitive admin experience without technical knowledge.
